2025 was a standout year for SWB Sports and Events! It was busy, rewarding, and one of our most successful years to date. The highlight was hosting Australia Rugby in South Africa, where SWB delivered a series of pre match events alongside our signature hospitality suites at the various stadiums involved. These experiences once again showcased what we do best, premium access, seamless delivery, and unforgettable sporting moments.

We wrapped up the year in Dublin for the Ireland vs South Africa clash in November. More than two hundred clients joined myself and Bismarck du Plessis for an action-packed few days, capped off perfectly by a memorable victory for the Boks.

Looking ahead, 2026 promises to be exceptional…

In my opinion, it is shaping up to be the most exciting year of sport in South Africa since the 1995 World Cup.

July will be pure rugby magic as South Africa welcome England to the legendary Emirates Stadium, where history, passion, and green and gold pride come alive. From there it is up to the highveld and the fortress of Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria for a bruising battle against Scotland, before heading to Durban to face Wales in front of a sea of supporters and coastal energy. All of this forms part of the exciting new Nations Championship tournament and promises a month that will capture the heart of South African sport.

August and September will deliver one of the greatest rivalries in world rugby as the All Blacks arrive on South African soil for a monumental four match Test series. These are not just games; they are battles steeped in history and pride. From the legendary Emirates Stadium to Cape Town, and into the heart of Soweto at FNB Stadium, the stage is set for unforgettable clashes. The final Test is still to be confirmed and could take this iconic rivalry beyond our borders, with Chicago or Dublin as potential hosts, adding a global edge to an already historic showdown. The tour will also include four provincial matches against the Stormers, Sharks, Lions, and Bulls.

November takes us back to Europe, where South Africa will face Italy, France, and Ireland, with a possible clash at Twickenham to complete the Nations Championship.

Cricket fans also have plenty to look forward to.

Australia will tour South Africa for three Test matches, with dates and venues to be confirmed.

At the end of the year, England arrives for a major tour in December and January, featuring three five-day Test and both ODI and T20 fixtures.

Beyond sport, we are proud to announce our involvement with Care for Wild, based in Barberton. This incredible organisation works to protect rhino in secure environments while supporting local communities. It is a cause we deeply believe in. We successfully raised funds last year and hosted our first golf day for the cause. We are already looking forward tour 2026 Golf Day to coincide with World Rhino Day on 22 September 2026.

SWB Sports and Events will be actively involved in everything that 2026 has to offer, both in South Africa and internationally.

It is going to be a year to remember, and we cannot wait to share it with you!
