RUGBY WAS THE WINNER

What a weekend of Sport. The British Lions, Protea Cricket, Golf and Tennis, where do we find the time to go to work!

What a British Lions Tour this was and the final result was fitting. While we can moan about the last minute penalty, lets think back on the

pre-meditated injuries on previous Lions Tours to New Zealand which cost dearly Kieran Reid and Mark Warburton who are both true professionals and both great leaders. Their after match interviews did not reflect on poor decisions but rather on the rugby that was played. Rugby was the winner and now we start the countdown to the next British Lions Tour to South Africa in 2021.

Cricket was disappointing from a South African Point of view and while there was some poor fielding and batting one has to say how important it is to win the toss, as was the case with England scoring an excess 350 runs on day one....

Super Rugby is back and we look forward to the Golden Lions Quarter Final as of yet we do not know who they will be playing but we need the Hurricanes to beat the Crusaders on Saturday to put winning the Super 15 back in the hands of the Johannesburg outfit.
